GOD & THE BIBLE

And finally, in perhaps their most extraordinary achievement in the decipherment of the intent of the ancient Biblical scribes, derived from the efforts of thousands of scholars over two thousand years, we examine the official interpretation of the words caphar and ta’ar offered in the standard reference work, The New Strong’s Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words:
caphar – a primitive root properly meaning ‘to score’ with a mark as a tally or record, i.e. (by implication) ‘to inscribe’, and also ‘to enumerate’; (intensively) ‘to recount’, i.e. ‘to celebrate’; ‘to commune’, ‘to account’, ‘to count’, ‘to declare’, ‘to number’, ‘penknife’, ‘to reckon’, ‘scribe’, ‘to shew forth’, ‘to speak’, ‘to talk’, ‘to tell out’, ‘writer’ [Entry 5608 Hebrew]
ta’ar – ‘a knife’ or ‘razor’ (as making bare); also a ‘scabbard’ (as being bare, i.e. empty); ‘penknife’, ‘to shave’, ‘sheath’ [Entry 8588 Hebrew intensive from Entry 6168]
Both words are defined as ‘penknife’.
Thus it is recognized: the Strong’s scholars are the experts in bringing the Word of God, as intended by the ancient scribes, to the world.
And I am the Madman.
