


Few men have had the honor of being able to actually dance in a Sacred Circle with the Aborigines of Australia. Fewer men have had the privilege of dancing in a Sacred Circle with a Maori dance group. I have had the exceptional honor of being able to dance with both groups at the same time!
In the early 1990s, I was granted the most extraordinary opportunity to put together a dance troupe and to travel to Australia. In 1991, my Mak’Sho Dance group was featured in the Warana International Festival in Brisbane, Queensland, in the ‘Land Down Under’.
Though I would be heavily criticized for my actions, I also invited two other dance
groups into our dance circle: the Mananjali Neggombeah dance group from Australia
and the Te’awhina dance troupe from New Zealand. Never before in history had this
ever happened: three native peoples groups -
